How It All Started
Having grown up in a family that cooked delicious soul food, I had no choice but to embark on this career path.
My parents, originally from Arkansas, and I learned the importance of GOD and family first and foremost. As a result of that love, I wanted to share my passion for desserts with everyone.
In 2013, my soon-to-be husband, Derek (after tasting a slice of my sweet potato pie), suggested I start a dessert business called Nunu’s Desserts.
Thus began this culinary adventure called Nunu’s Desserts with Soul.
It is only through the love and support of my family that my business has been able to grow: my husband; my children; and my ancestors: Jimmy and Gladys, my mother and father. My life would not be complete without God as a constant guide. Owning a business that shares love with so many people is a blessing.
